Carl's Jr. of Las Vegas Grillympics
Since all the talk this winter has been about the Olympics, we thought we would have our own games here in Las Vegas, but for our cooks!
Anyone can cook "x" number of burgers in a flat time, but it's a real test when real orders come up and the person has to draw on their memory of what makes up that perfect specialty burger, AND take into consideration special orders, AND do it all with your manager, District Manager, Las Vegas Management, and two judges from the corporate office...
...put that all together, and you get the first annual Carl's Jr. of Las Vegas Grillympics, recently held at our location on Flamingo and Eastern. Cooks who had won previous qualifying trials represented their restaurant and their district, vying for top honors and award pins they will proudly display on their uniforms to show their achievement in excellence and speed.
Judges watched as the participants displayed their best style and form, and rated them on speed, taste and memory.
Winners were:
First Place:
Rosa Gonzalez, from Restaurant #7689 located at Craig and Revere.
Second Place:
Erica Useda from Restaurant #7086 located at Sahara and Valley View
Third Place:
Consuelo Majeno from Restaurant #750 located at Lake Mead and McDaniel, North Las Vegas
